The Facebook Developer wiki is a comprehensive, community-generated resource for documentation relating to developing on Facebook Platform. The wiki is maintained by Facebook and developers like you.

There are other ways you can contribute to help make Facebook Platform even better:

Make the Wiki Better

There is already a lot of great information and documentation here, but it can always be improved.

Developers are always looking for information that is:

  • Accurate
  • Up to date
  • Detailed
  • Consistent
  • Brief

Anything you can do to help achieve this in each document will be appreciated by your fellow developers.

Ways You Can Help

Edit

See something that appears out of date or thin on explanation or example? Please help by contributing additional accurate knowledge to the article. A wiki is by definition a collaborative source of knowledge, so other developers may add to or edit what you've written.

For example, the font attribute in this website's body tag is missing a comma. This causes it to render improperly in Firefox 3.5.

Keep in mind that Facebook protects certain vital pages, so if you have a comment or would like to see something changed on one of those pages, please let us know through the Discussion page for that article.

Create New Content

If you see an area or topic where content is missing, feel free to write new content. Try to follow the style used on other articles in this wiki.

Note that we use specific templates for many of the pages, most notably FBAPI_Documentation for the API articles, FBML_Documentation for articles on FBML tags and FQL_Documentation for articles on FQL.

Remove Content that Isn't Useful

  • Vandalism
  • Out-of-date or inaccurate content

If you see material that isn't useful, please help out by removing it.
