Talk:Contribute
From Facebook Developer Wiki
Hello,
Well i am interested in contributing to the wiki.As i have a good experience with MediaWiki. I can help in various fields , Starting from its categorization to the management. As i can see the current page requires cleaup too.But i dont see a responsible person appointed for this.I contacted over the IRC but no one responded. And i guess after that this one is the place to the post the queries.Hope to get a reply soon . --1209604350 03:07, 25 November 2009 (PST)
Additiona family member choices would be appropriate. Especial step father, step mother, step son and daughter. This has been a real problem for many people I know.
It would be nice to have some sort of flagging option or some sort of bin to place messages in which a user is not quite ready to respond. Sometimes I forget or I just don't feel like searching through ten pages of messages to see who I need to send replies. That goes for the wall and the message options. The alerts for Honesty Box replies are great
THe new facebook look sucks!!! It takes forever just to look at 1 friend's page. PLEASE go back to the old format!!!!!!
How in the heck do I make it so I can be online without advertising it to everyone?! It should be an obvious privacy setting that you can turn off if desired......

[edit] The Facebook Developpers wiki in French
Hello everybody, I'm a French developer, and I can help you translating this wiki in French... Where have I to go ?
Thank you and see you soon, Sander. --1228146422 09:18, 6 October 2008 (PDT)
[edit] Requests
I think the "requests" page should be an app, or at least not only available on my home page.
[edit] The "like" button
Please may we have a "dislike" button....
The amount of times i have had to comment it because i don't like mushrooms, a button would be much easier. Thanking you
[edit] Tagging Group Photos
Could you make the tag box size user-adjustable? Sometimes there is an annoying overlap when you try to tag a group photo. I do a lot of that for old school photos or wedding pics and its annoying when the overlap causes you mis-identify someone.
Thanks.
[edit] finding friends
Hello!
I'm not exactly sure that this is the right place to speak about this topic, but i didn't find any place for contacting the owners of Facebook.
I especially need a lot to have an option to have a list with names that i don't have still in my contact list, but my friends have them. What i mean is to see all the names that my friends are in contact with, the number of my friends in contact with the concrete person and then to have the possibility to chose if i want to add it as friend or not. Now i have to enter in each profile of my friends,to check all of their contacts which is much more time consuming.
Also when once is added a person which probably don't see the invitation, because it's moved from it's mail directly to spam to have the possibility to send an invitation again.....in 30days or so?
Waiting for your answer!

[edit] finding friends by school
We need to be able to search by high school and year.
- You can. Go to Friends > Find Friends, then scroll to the bottom where it says Search for People. Click the link to find people from your high school, then use the list on the next page to filter for your year. Pete (563683308 11:25, 31 July 2009 (PDT))
While viewing all friends in the contact list, we should be able to see their status as well, it makes it much easier than going through the news feed! Thanks
[edit] add friend's status' on the all friends' list
it would be nice to see the status of all friends while viewing one's own friends list instead of going through the news feed, Thanks!
Hi there people.
It would be really nice if the search bar had a tab in it for date of birth and other things like primary school or even likes and dislikes.

[edit] New Permissions and User Content Editing
More granular permissions are needed, as well as a separation of features where permissions are applied, and better user control over posted content.
1. Separate "Status" and "Links". Users should have the choice to post links independently of status updates, and assign different permission levels (groups) to each feature.
2. Editing the text of any user added content for a limited time period after the initial post. Users should have the ability to fix spelling mistakes, add additional text, remove text, add a link, add a photo, etc. Allow changes to any user posted text for 15 minutes after posting. Continue to offer delete.
[edit] comment
facebook should offer the ability to comment when you poke someone... kinda put a tagline on a poke...
