[edit] Other languages

What about buttons for other languages beside english?

We're working on it. -- Pete (563683308 16:19, 15 December 2008 (PST))

Any News 8 months later ??

[edit] Dark background not "dark" enough

Dark button text not "dark" enough for black backgrounds, any chance you guys would have text-less buttons, mainly for the logout? All have text, and doesn't show nice on black backgrounds.

[edit] Connect[ed]

Could we possibly have a button that says "Connected" so that when they've logged in, it's clear as to whether they're connected to the FB service or not? I could put this into the JS connected() notconnected() functions which are in the documentation on this site then.

We recommend you use the Facebook favicon over the user's profile pic along with the user's Facebook name on your site to indicate the user is connected. See Anatomy of a Facebook Connect Site, fb:name, and fb:profile-pic. Pete (563683308 11:57, 29 April 2009 (PDT))

[edit] Submit Button Required

Hi All,

What about a button which says "Submit" - this is for allowing users to Submit scores from an iPhone game onto their news feed. is it possible to use the F icon with a button which says Submit? This is apart from using the F Connect, Log Out buttons provided in the API.

Many thanks!

At the end of a game, you can pop up a Feed form (see Facebook Connect for iPhone#Publishing Feed Stories) to give the player an opportunity to submit a score to Facebook. The Feed form contains a Submit button. Pete (563683308 11:07, 25 June 2009 (PDT))

[edit] Modifications of Facebook logo

Hey folks - I'm working with a public organization that recently set up a Facebook page. They were hoping to create a link from their homepage to their Facebook page using a logo that incorporated elements of both the Facebook logo and the organizational logo. Is this allowed?

Thank you very much!

This sounds like something that would be explicitly forbidden. Mixing both logos (trademarks) would look like there is a partnership or similar, or that Facebook endorses your app, etc. 763967318 18:46, 14 September 2009 (PDT)

[edit] fb-connect button in different color?

Is it possible (legal), to display a button, who is not in "Facebook-Blue"? We want to display them in another color to integrate them perfectly in our Blog.

It would be no technical problem, but maybe a legal...

It would violate Platform Principles and Policies. Pete (563683308 08:07, 9 September 2009 (PDT))

[edit] Background colors

"Choose the button that is anti-aliased to match the background of your site - either pure white, light, or dark."

What the hell? Why not antialiased alpha-blended PNG images that work in any background? 763967318 18:02, 14 September 2009 (PDT)
