Talk:Fb:redirect
From Facebook Developer Wiki
It would be nice to have a timeout. I'd like to inform my users that they're about to be directed to my site. Rude not to.
[edit] Name anchors (#)
It appears to strip anything after the # from the URl, so you cannot get it to go to the top of your app if you want to. This would be very helpful, especially if you have a 'Refresh' link at the top of your app in the profile box which goes to the canvas page but then redirects straight back to the profile screen ... it would be nice to be able to redirect to "http://www.facebook.com/profile.php#a_123456789".
- Thats fixed I believe! 3629113 16:28, 5 October 2007 (PDT)
[edit] Off-site
This appears to allow off-site (non-Facebook URLs) redirects. Is this supposed to be the case?
- Sounds like a bug. Can you please file one and give us the URL where the redirect leads off site? Thanks, Pete (563683308 12:03, 29 April 2009 (PDT))
Why shouldn't this be able to redirect off of the site? That may be needed for tracking and other uses. --41502060 20:00, 18 September 2009 (PDT)
[edit] Type of Redirect
What type of redirect is this? Is it a 301 Moved Permanently, so it would be search engine friendly? --41502060 20:01, 18 September 2009 (PDT)
