How can we delete English sentences from the list of translatable sentences? I.e. I made a mistake and put variable text between the < fb:intl > tags... After a couple of hours, my quota of sentences was over :-( and I would like to delete those un-needed sentences. How can I do that?

Thanks

[edit] Trranslate FaceBook

How if I want to translate FACEBOOK into Khmer (Cambodian language)? Let me know how could I do that? there is no Khmer FaceBook translated yet.

Pisit

Thanks for wanting to translate the site into Khmer! Currently we are having the community translate the site into Khmer. What you need to do it get Facebook's Translations application and select Khmer as your language (at the bottom of any Facebook page, to the right of the "Copyright 2009" text, select Khmer from the menu and start translating. You can find more help with translating, too. Thanks and good luck! Pete (563683308 11:39, 2 March 2009 (PST))

[edit] Admin problems

I'm having problems with the Admin page.

1) At one point I had the 'untranslated' phrases tab working fine (I could see untranslated phrases). Now every time I go there (with the application owner account) it says there are no untranslated phrases, EVEN THOUGH at the same time I go to the actual application and the inline translation works fine and I can add submit translations. And yes, I have the correct application drop-down chosen on the admin page. ???

2) The 'delete all phrases' button is giving me a validation error? I'm sure at one point I had incorrect fbml, did this break the entire admin portion?

Thanks.

[edit] Xfbml and Iframes

Is there a way to make use of the Internationalization platform when using xfbml and iframes? I tried using serverfbml tags everywhere, but the results are really bad with the render-in-iframe flow of serverfbml.

[edit] Publishing langages

For some reason, whether a langage is published or not on the Translations admin panel of my app, the translations are immediately visible to all users within the app. Example:

  • Facebook app in English, with fb:intl tags
  • Translations in French are open, the French status is "Publish" (not "Published").
  • As soon as a user submits a translation in French, all French users have the word/phrase translated in the app. Whether they've added the Translations application or not.

There is no validation required. This is problematic, since I have users who have made mistakes in translating, which has lead to great confusion for other users.

Please file a bug and include your application ID and any other information that can help us troubleshoot. Thanks, Pete (563683308 18:28, 29 June 2009 (PDT))

[edit] Translating apps

If the developer wishes to translate the facebook-side content of an app do they have to go through the facebook translations app or can they use a translation memory or xml based solution?
